•Please be aware that this will be a COVID-safe event and that there are strict compliance rules for being present on the day.
•From 1 a.m. 14 October 2022, if you test positive to COVID-19, it's no longer mandatory to self-isolate at home. However Queensland Health strongly recommends people who are sick or who have tested positive to COVID-19 continue to take action to reduce the risk of transmission.
Some high-risk settings or other businesses may choose to put in place additional requirements or conditions for staff and visitors to mitigate risk of COVID-19 transmission in these settings.
•If you are sick for any reason on the day, it is encouraged that you do not attend the Symposium. Or at least take a RAT before coming. Please stay informed via the Queensland Health website: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19
•The capacity of the room being used to hold the event (G40 LECTURE THEATRE 1) is 248 people, the social distancing capacity is not in effect at this time, and the total capacity of the room is 248 people (including speakers, attendees, organisers, sponsors and catering).
•The poster boards will be set up on the Breeze-way of level 5 G40 to help reduce any possible transmission of COVID or other illnesses.
•The event is by invitation only (i.e. closed event) and will therefore be limited to the max capacity of 150 (including speakers, attendees, organisers, sponsors and catering).
•Bottles of hand sanitizer will be placed at entrances, with signs to encourage use.
•Facemasks will be encouraged to be worn during the event, or when in close contact with others - i.e. networking. But as per Queensland Government guidelines, are not mandatory.
•Weather permitting, corporate sponsor trade displays will be set up in an external area (Outside Okey Dokey Cafe - Level 3), so as not to crowd the room and encourage social distancing in an outdoor environment. The individuals manning the trade display tables will be included in the max head count. There is a limit of 2 people (reps) per trade display.
•In the days leading up to the event, organisers will electronically remind attendees of the event (via email). Attendees will be encouraged to promote safe hygiene practices on the day.
